Globetrotters (Mexico style)
- 1 quart milk (boiling)
- ½ pint blackberry brandy
Drink hot milk first, then brandy!
Snickerdoodles (American style)
Cookie Dough
- 1 cup shortening
- 1½ cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2¾ cups flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp soda
- ¼ tsp salt
Cinnamon Sugar Topping
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp cloves
- ¾ cup sugar
- Mix sugar and shortening
- Add eggs, then sifted dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Form into walnut-sized balls and roll in cinnamon sugar topping.
- Space 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
Cookies will puff up, then burst with crumpled top.
