Chocolate Nut Revels
makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies
- 6 oz semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup butter
- ⅔ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups sifted AP flour
- Melt chocolate over hot water. Stir in pecans. Cool.
- Cream butter. Add sugar, salt, and vanilla. Cream well.
- Blend in 2 cups flour gradually.
- Add chocolate-nut mixture. Stir with fork just enough to revel chocolate into white mixture.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten to ¼-inch thickness with bottom of a glass, greased and dipped in sugar.
- Bake at 350°for 10 to 12 minutes.
