Cinnamon Dandies

makes about 6 dozen cookies

  1. Cream butter. Gradually add powdered sugar and salt, creaming well.
  2. Add applesauce and vanilla.
  3. Blend in flour gradually.
  4. Shape scant teaspoonfuls into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten to ⅛ to ¼-inch with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
  5. Bake at 325°for 15 to 18 minutes. Roll warm cookies in cinnamon sugar mixture.
