Cinnamon Nut Stars

makes 7 dozen

  1. Sift together flour, spices, and salt.
  2. Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar, mix well.
  3. Stir in milk. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Stir in nuts.
  4. Add sifted dry ingredients, a little at a time, and mix until well blended. Chill until firm.
  5. Roll out dough on a lightly floured board, about ⅛ inch thick. Cut with a floured star cutter, and place on greased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 350°for 12 minutes or until light brown. Remove from sheets and cool on rack.
  7. Decorate with icing.
