Gingerbread
- 1 cup molasses
- ⅓ cup butter
- 1½ tsp soda
- ½ cup sour milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp ginger
- ½ tsp salt
- Add butter to molasses and heat until butter melts. Add soda and beat hard.
- Add milk, egg, flour, ginger, and salt. Beat well.
- Pour into a layer cake pan. Bake at 325°for 25-35 minutes.
