Vanilla Butter Nut Pound Cake
- 3 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup condensed milk
- ½ cup shortening
- ½ lb butter
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla butter nut flavoring
- Cream shortening, butter, and salt.
- Add one egg at a time, beating after each addition.
- Add flour and milk alternately.
- Fold in flavoring by hand.
- Bake in a greased tube pan at 325°for 1 hour and 15-30 minutes or until done. (do not preheat oven)
- Remove from pan immediately.
